Joe Bashorun originally from the U.K., now based in Dubai, U.A.E.

​

I specialize in Orchestral composition and arrangements as well as pop/rock/jazz and electro dance music. My compositions range from standalone compositions to music especially composed for the moving image. In addition to this I am also a songwriter.

I have been a professional musician for more than 30 years, and in that time have toured extensively around the world , performing in 55 countries, on every continent.

My musical background ranges

from a classical music training through to jazz and pop/rock. I have performed at many of the worlds leading venues and festivals including the renowned Festival Hall and Royal Albert Hall in London, as well as The North Sea Jazz Festival and

Montreal Jazz Festival to name just a few.

As a musical director I have worked with leading record company’s such as Sony, Warner, Island, BMG, EMI and their associated artists in the commercial pop world such as: Annie Lennox, Des’ree, Womack & Womack, Beverly Knight, Van Morrison, Simply Red, The Sugababes, Sophie B. Hawkins, Tina Arena, Jamiroquai, Lulu, Jamelia. I have also worked extensively in the jazz world with notable artists such as; Courtney Pine, Billy Cobham, Buddy Miles, Stanley Turrentine, Ernest Ranglin, Pee Wee Ellis, Ronny Jordan…plus many more.

I continue to perform live my primary instruments being piano/keyboard and drums, as well as sing lead and backing vocals. I play all the instruments and do full production and arrangements on all my music which I record at my project studio in Dubai.
